Resetting the Printer to Factory Settings
Restoring the factory-set defaults returns most of the settings to the factory defaults.
It will not reset the page count, tray size, or language.
Here are two methods to resetting your printer.
Method 1:
- Turn the product off. Disconnect the power cable from the product for 60 seconds and then reconnect
- Turn the product on while you press and hold the Resume button for 10-20 seconds. The Attention light turns on.
- Release the Resume button. The Attention and Ready lights cycle while the product restores factory defaults.
Method 2:
- Plug the power cable and then press the Power button to turn the ON Printer.
- Now press and hold the Power button + Cancel button together for 10 seconds.
- Then first release the Cancel button and after a second release the power button as well. It will reset the printer.
- After that, the printer will try to take out a printout.

If you haven’t inserted any paper in the printer, then you will see a red light blinking.
It is not compulsory to take out the print, so you can cancel it using the cancel button.
